LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens with 5x optical zoom
The 29mm wide-angle lens captures a wider area than a standard 35mm lens. Add the superior rendering performance of the Leica DC lens, 5x optical zoom power, and a Zoom Macro* function that lets you get within 0.03 ft (1cm) of your subject, and the FS15 is fully equipped to capture a wide variety of beautiful, expressive shots.

Large, easy-to-see Intelligent 2.7-inch LCD
The high-resolution, 230,000-dot LCD makes it easier to frame the shot before you shoot and check the results after you shoot. It also makes it more fun to view your photos with family and friends.
The brightness changes to match your surroundings
The LCD brightness automatically adjusts in nine steps to match the brightness of your surroundings. This ensures good viewability even outdoors on a sunny day, and improved viewing comfort when you're inside a dark room.

My first digital camera August 26, 2010 Johanna Carolina (Venezuela) I bought this camera basing on positive feedback from several buyers. It's my first digital camera and I bought it to photograph special moments of my life and, although I am not an expert photographer, I have to say that this is an excellent camera. Very easy to use for beginners, takes very good pictures, the battery is durable, among other attributes. Now I have 6 months of use and I have no complaints. I would like the zoom can be used in video mode too, is everything. Panasonic Lumix digital camera is my first and this brand will be my first choice to replace my small camera in the future. I love it!
Great camera August 4, 2010 R. Wilson (Santa Cruz, CA) Easy to use camera with plenty of features. Video is not HD but still pretty decent.
Lumix DMC-FS15 July 25, 2010 Alexandre O. I bought this camera because it is portable and I can carry it at all times with me. I use it to always have the ability to take pictures of stuff I want to remember. I've been using it for 8 months now.
Pros:
-Fits easily in my pocket
-Has a very decent battery life
-Has a definitely good enough picture resolution for me
Cons:
-I had to return it because it got dust in the sensor (you could see dust in the pictures). It was not possible to clean it off without disassembling the camera. Panasonic gave me a brand new camera.
-It takes a long time to take a picture. If you're on a car or something suddenly happens and you need to snap fast, you'll probably miss it. Sometimes it takes a couple of seconds sometimes from the moment you click until it takes the picture.
Outstanding! June 6, 2010 Mopar Seven (Grand Rapids, MI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One of the best cameras out there of this type and size. Would highly recommend.
Software and suppoert are horrible May 3, 2010 Mark Twain 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The pictures are fine but the integration with my Mac is terrible. I hangs up during transfer and the only thing I can do to restart is remove the camera battery.,
Despite several sttempts to contact Panasonic I can never reach anyone with any insight. I'm ready to throw this thing out the window. Would never buy another Panasonic camera.
